We collect information to provide better services to our users. This includes:

Account Information: Your name and email address when you sign in via Google, Apple, or Email.
Profile Data: Information you provide about your professional background, target job roles, and skills.
Resume Content: Any text or data you enter to build your resumes, including work history and education.
Job Tracker Data: Information about the jobs you are applying to, their status, and interview notes.
Files and Scanned Images: Uploaded PDF documents and images of physical resumes captured using the device's camera for digitization.

2. Third-Party AI Services (OpenAI and Google Gemini)

Careerly uses secure cloud-based AI services, specifically the OpenAI API and the Google Gemini API, to generate, optimize, and scan resume content, as well as analyze compatibility with job descriptions (ATS scoring). To provide these services, your resume text, profile details, and target job descriptions are sent securely for processing. These third parties act strictly as data processors: they do not use your personal data to train their models, all data transmission is encrypted via SSL, and they provide equal data protection in accordance with our privacy standards. No personal data is shared with AI services without your explicit prior in-app consent.

3. Payments and Subscriptions

We use RevenueCat to handle our subscription billing. We do not store or collect your credit card data. All payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Information related to your subscription status (e.g., active, expired) is shared between RevenueCat and Careerly to provide access to premium features.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely in our Supabase cloud database. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

5. Your Data Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data at any time through the app settings. If you delete your account, all your resumes and tracking data will be permanently removed from our servers.
