Welcome to Pinaco ("we", "our", or "the App"). Pinaco transforms your Apple TV, Mac, and iPad into an ambient museum fine art frame displaying world-renowned public domain masterpieces. We believe exceptional software must respect human dignity and private living spaces. That is why Pinaco is engineered with a strict zero-telemetry, zero-surveillance architecture.

🔒 Zero Data Collection Guarantee: Pinaco does not collect, record, track, transmit, or monetize any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not require accounts, logins, or personal profiles, and we have zero advertising trackers or analytics SDKs.

1. Zero Personal Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data when you use Pinaco. Specifically:

No Account Required: You never need to provide an email address, name, phone number, or password.
No Tracking: We do not track your viewing habits, duration of display, selected categories, or physical locations.
No Third-Party SDKs: Pinaco contains zero third-party advertising or analytics frameworks (no Google Firebase, no Meta Pixel, no Mixpanel, no AppsFlyer).

2. Cultural Institution APIs & Imagery

To deliver high-resolution museum scans of masterworks, Pinaco queries public cultural institution repositories:

The Metropolitan Museum of Art Open Access API: Direct standard HTTPS GET requests to fetch public domain image assets and historical metadata.
The Art Institute of Chicago Public API: Standard HTTPS GET requests for CC0 public domain collections.

These requests do not contain device identifiers, advertising IDs, or user tracking tokens. All displayed artworks are verified public-domain works under Creative Commons Zero (CC0) or equivalent open licenses.

3. In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

All Pinaco Pro subscriptions and lifetime purchases are processed directly and securely by Apple Inc. via native StoreKit 2 frameworks within the Apple ecosystem.

The developer does not receive, store, or process your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment instruments.
Subscription management, renewals, and cancellations are handled directly through your Apple ID Account Settings.

4. On-Device Storage & Preferences

Your frame selections (Natural Oak, Walnut, Gilded Gold), matte choices (Archival Cream, Pure White), slideshow rotation speeds, and OLED protection toggles are stored solely on your local device using standard iOS/tvOS/macOS local storage (UserDefaults). This configuration data never leaves your device.

5. Children's Privacy

Pinaco contains no objectionable content, no user-generated content, and zero data collection. The app is rated 4+ and is entirely safe for users of all ages, including children.
